Riot unveils significant nerfs planned for Viego in League Patch 11.17

The Upcoming Changes in League of Legends Patch 11.17

The League of Legends gameplay development team has revealed the changes that will be introduced in Patch 11.17. This patch includes balance adjustments to champions and in-game items.

In Patch 11.17, a total of 17 champions will receive nerfs, buffs, and adjustments. Among the six champions set to be nerfed, many are melee champions such as assassins, bruisers, and tanks. One notable champion is Viego, who has been causing trouble in both solo queue and professional play.

Viego Nerfs in Patch 11.17

Viego will receive several nerfs in Patch 11.17. His total auto-attack range will be reduced, and his ultimate ability, Heartbreaker (R), will also undergo nerfs. Currently, the ability slows enemy champions by 99 percent for 0.5 seconds, but in Patch 11.17, it will only slow them for 0.25 seconds.

The base healing that Viego receives from his passive, Sovereign Domination, will be reduced from eight to three percent. Additionally, the healing ratios from Viego’s ability power, attack damage, and attack speed will also be nerfed in Patch 11.17.

Other Champions on the Chopping Block

Alongside Viego, other champions like Irelia, Graves, Leona, Zed, and Kayn will also face nerfs. However, Riot has only announced planned nerfs for the Shadow Assassin (blue) version of Kayn.

Patch 11.17 Release Date

Patch 11.17 is scheduled to go live on the League servers on August 25, according to the official patch schedule.
