League of Legends Introduces New High Noon Skins with Wild West Theme
When it comes to favorite skin lines in League of Legends, players have a few in mind. Popular options include Star Guardian, Arcade, Dark Star, Warring Kingdoms, Project, and even April Fool’s Day skins. Riot has consistently redefined these skin lines to have distinct themes and impressive features. Now, with the recent reveal, High Noon skins are joining that list.
Riot sent out teasing emails to selected fans, hinting at a new Wild West-themed skin line. Today, the company released an epic cinematic to confirm our suspicions—the teasers were indeed for new High Noon skins. These skins are even more impressive than any previous High Noon skins introduced.
Are Riot’s new skin teasers for new High Noon skins, or something more ominous?
In the new High Noon skins, fire and brimstone take the center stage. Thresh, usually depicted with a reaper-like appearance, now showcases a flaming cow skull. Lucian’s body is split, with half showing magma-like features. While Urgot’s skin wasn’t displayed in the cinematic, his teaser featured a billowing smoke stack. The fiery theme in these new skins is a stark departure from the generic western-themed High Noon skins we’re accustomed to.
Yasuo, Jhin, and Twisted Fate were the previous champions to receive High Noon skins. Additionally, there are other western-themed skins such as Sheriff Caitlyn and Longhorn Alistar. While it is unlikely that Riot will redesign the old High Noon skins to match the new theme, it’s possible they’ll add a feature or two to them.
Just like how the Star Guardian skin series saw updates with new animations for older skins, we may see similar additions to Twisted Fate, Jhin, and Yasuo. Possibilities include a new recall animation or adjustments to their abilities. However, we shouldn’t get our hopes up too high.
The official reveal occurred today, and these skins are expected to arrive on the PBE soon, either later today or within the next couple of days.
