Riot unveils comprehensive revamp for Mordekaiser while hinting at Kayle/Morgana makeovers

Riot Teases Upcoming Champion Updates in Latest Champion Roadmap Video

Riot’s design team has taken a different approach with their latest installment of Champion Roadmap. In a departure from the usual blog post format, they released a video that gives League of Legends fans a sneak peek into upcoming champion projects and updates. The video not only provides updates on the previously announced changes to Morgana and Kayle, but also reveals the next major champion that Riot will be updating – Mordekaiser.

Many fans agree that Mordekaiser is long overdue for a major update. He is the last champion with what the community affectionately calls “pizza feet” – his triangular and outdated foot design. All other champions with similar designs have already been updated, leaving Mordekaiser feeling left behind. In addition, his overall design and abilities are puzzling and don’t quite match his heavy-metal persona. With this update, Riot aims to give Mordekaiser the attention he deserves.

The video also briefly touches on the new champion that will follow Sylas, who was teased earlier in the week. According to Ryan “Reav3” Mireles, this new champion will be a traditional enchanter support, a departure from the previous support champion Pyke. While remaining traditional, the new champion will also introduce a new mechanic, although no further details were provided.

Although the updates to Kayle and Morgana have been confirmed for nearly six months, it may still be some time before more information is released on Mordekaiser or the new champion.
