Riot unveils a mysterious addition to Zac’s arsenal in League of Legends

Zac’s Stretching Strikes Ability to Be Fixed in Upcoming Patch

Zac, the tank jungler in League of Legends, is known for punishing enemy mistakes by taking advantage of mispositioning. However, he has faced limitations with his Stretching Strikes ability when there is only one target. Riot Games has acknowledged this issue and plans to fix it in the upcoming patch.

A Change to Zac’s Stretching Strikes

Previously, Zac’s Stretching Strikes required him to use the ability on one target and auto attack the other to root and pull them together. The problem was that it could only be triggered by attacking champions and not non-champion features like Illaoi’s tentacles or Gangplank’s barrels.

Riot’s Solution

Riot’s lead champion designer, August Browning, has announced that Patch 12.22 will address this issue, allowing Zac to effectively engage in duels with champions possessing similar abilities. You can learn more about this change from his tweet.

Improving Zac’s Early Game

This fix will greatly benefit Zac, particularly in the early game, where he tends to be the weakest. It is a significant quality-of-life improvement for the champion.

What to Expect from the Change

While August hasn’t shared details about other affected features, it is likely that the change will also apply to auto-attackable creatures or items on the map, such as Malzahar’s minions, Zyra’s plants, and Shaco’s boxes.

Patch 12.22 is scheduled to be released on November 16, according to Riot’s official patch schedule.
