Riot Teases Upcoming Transformation for League of Legends Champion, Neeko

New Passive Ability for Neeko in League of Legends Unveiled by Riot Games

If you play League of Legends and have been eagerly awaiting news about everyone’s favorite Curious Chameleon, Neeko, then you’re in luck. Riot Games’ developers have introduced a new passive ability that will leave players on Summoner’s Rift both fooled and frustrated.

In a recent developer video, Riot showcased a range of upcoming changes for the game in 2023, including an exciting update for Neeko. Game designer Ezra “Phlox” Lynn revealed that they were working on an expanded passive ability for the playful shapeshifter, allowing her to transform into more than just another champion during gameplay.

With these new changes, Neeko will have the ability to take on the form of various assets such as minions, Teemo mushrooms, and jungle plants. In the accompanying video, she quickly transforms into a blast cone and seamlessly blends into the map. She also assumes the appearance of a caster minion, maintaining her disguise while attacking enemies.

While it is unclear whether Neeko can move while mimicking an inanimate object like a Teemo mushroom or jungle plant, these changes offer her a tremendous amount of versatility that is currently lacking in her abilities.

This new passive opens up a world of possibilities for Neeko. She can now join a minion wave undetected and surprise unsuspecting enemies who believe they are safe to farm. Additionally, she can transform into neutral monsters on the map, allowing her to infiltrate enemy territory without raising any suspicion.

With this update, Neeko’s trickster nature is further enhanced, making her an even more formidable opponent to face off against.
