Riot teases potential new design for Pentakill skins and hints at Viego’s arrival using Lost Chapter album art

Pentakill Returns to Summoner’s Rift with New Album, “Lost Chapter”

After a long four-year break, fans of League of Legends will finally see the highly anticipated return of Pentakill, the game’s beloved virtual rock band. Riot Games has officially announced the release of Pentakill’s next album, “Lost Chapter,” accompanied by stunning new artwork that hints at updated champion designs on Summoner’s Rift.

New Looks and Battle Gear for Pentakill

In a recent tweet from Riot Games Music, the official Twitter account, the header features the members of Pentakill donning new battle gear, ready to rock the stage and dominate in solo queue games.

Upon closer inspection, it’s clear that the champions are dressed in different costumes compared to their original skins. For example, Mordekaiser sports a gladiator helmet with wings, while Olaf has traded his cowboy hat for horns. Yorick no longer wears his tall top hat, and Sona’s dress has been updated. Notably, Karthus’ face bears a more human appearance rather than a specter-like visage.

Some fans have also noticed a graphic on the official album art, located just above the “Lost Chapter” title, resembling the crown worn by the Ruined King, Viego. This is leading to speculation that the heartbroken swordsman may be joining Pentakill to express his emotions through the power of music.

Earlier this month, Riot confirmed the production of this album through an image posted by the Riot Games Music account, together with a vague release date. Last year, the company’s creative director, Christian “Praeco” Linke, announced that the album would consist of approximately 10 original songs, providing Pentakill enthusiasts with the metal fix they’ve been longing for during this extended hiatus.

“Lost Chapter” is scheduled to drop on Wednesday, September 8. You can pre-save the album now on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer.
