New Solar and Lunar Eclipse Skins Teased for League of Legends
Riot Games has teased the addition of new skins to the Solar and Lunar Eclipse skin lines in League of Legends. Upcoming skins for Kayle, Sivir, Aatrox, Sejuani, and Senna are in the pipeline.
Kayle, Sivir, and Sejuani will receive Solar Eclipse skins, while Aatrox and Senna will get Lunar Eclipse skins. Senna’s Lunar Eclipse skin will also have a Prestige edition, suggesting the possibility of a specific event surrounding these skins. Leona currently stands as the only champion in the game with a Solar or Lunar Eclipse skin.
The new skins showcase cosmic power thematically, with the Solar Eclipse skins exhibiting the power of the sun through a strong, auburn-orange glow. The Lunar Eclipse skins feature subdued yet striking violet and white colors to embody the spirit of the moon. Each champion with these skins will have a pronounced visual effect on their weapons, with their respective celestial bodies providing a certain glow to their signature arms.
Riot Games also teased two other skins, Sea Dog Yasuo and Gangplank the Betrayer, which seem to have a Bilgewater-focused theme and reference their appearances in Riot Forge’s standalone RPG, Ruined King.
While Riot has not provided a specific release date, these skins are expected to arrive with an upcoming patch within the next month, based on Riot’s past skin release history.
