Riot tackles a game-breaking bug in League of Legends tied to Ivern

Riot Games Investigating Bug Impacting Ivern’s W Ability

Today, on the patch day for League of Legends, an issue has arisen that is affecting a champion who received significant help from Riot Games in this patch.

The League development team took to Twitter to inform players that they are actively investigating a bug that has been caused by Ivern’s W ability. This ability allows Ivern to place a brush in a desired area, and with this patch, it now provides some new effects. However, certain champions are now unable to cast their abilities while standing in one of Ivern’s brushes, which also empowers their basic attacks. This bug effectively removes crucial elements from the affected champions’ kits.

Riot has chosen not to disable Ivern from being played, so players who choose him may encounter this bug during their gameplay. It is currently unclear which specific champions are having their abilities disabled while in Ivern’s brush, as it does not seem to be affecting every champion.

Fix Expected Soon for Ivern’s Bug

As part of Patch 13.11, Ivern received a “midscope update” today. After weeks of testing and discussions between Riot and Ivern players, these changes were intended to be buffs for the champion rather than a complete overhaul like Rell’s recent update. However, players noticed when the changes were released on the PBE that they seemed to unnecessarily affect certain areas of Ivern’s kit, leading to delays.

Riot is currently actively working on a solution for this bug that has the potential to significantly impact game outcomes. It is likely that a fix will be implemented within the next few hours. If not, Ivern may be temporarily disabled from the game until the issue is resolved.

In an update, content creator Vandiril posted a video displaying the Ivern bug in action. The video shows how this bug can affect several champions, including Xerath, Jinx, Twisted Fate, Nami, Vi, and Fiora.
