League of Legends Spring Skins: Bee Buzz for Fans
In keeping with tradition, League of Legends is set to release its annual bee-themed skins to celebrate the arrival of spring. This year, the champions Ziggs, Heimerdinger, Nunu and Willump, and Orianna will undergo a buzzing transformation to delight fans.
Ziggs dons the “BZZZiggs” skin, where he throws bees instead of bombs. Players will witness the pint-sized bee performing a joyful dance during his recall, while being pursued by smaller buzzing comrades.
The “Heimerstinger” skin takes Heimerdinger’s turrets to bee-themed heights. The turrets themselves transform into bees and hurl globs of honey at nearby enemies. With Heimerdinger’s ultimate ability, the upgraded turret takes on the appearance of a queen bee and fires more potent honey projectiles at a slower rate.
In the “Nunu and Beelump” skin, Willump becomes a massive monstrous bee. His snowball ability evolves into a lightning-fast ball of honey that rolls across the ground. Additionally, his ultimate turns the terrain into a sticky honeycomb, which eventually explodes. Nunu, now transformed into a bee, rides atop the monstrous creature’s back, demonstrating their ability to fly during the recall animation.
Orianna’s bee-themed skin, named “Orbeeana,” sees her ball becoming a fuzzy friend, with another bee hidden inside according to the new splash art. As the ball moves, it shoots honey globs at unsuspecting foes while simultaneously granting increased speed to Orianna and her allies. The skin highlights Orianna’s endeavors to spread cheer with her bee companions, capturing the essence of the spring season through honey-yellow particle effects on all her abilities.
The release of these bee-themed skins is expected on the PBE (Public Beta Environment) soon, with an anticipated launch alongside League Patch 12.5 in early March.
