Riot shifts focus to Lee Sin’s damage and Jayce’s tankiness in League Patch 12.7 preview

League of Legends Patch 12.7: Champion and Item Balance Changes

Riot Games has revealed the expanded patch preview for League of Legends Patch 12.7, with a focus on balance updates for several champions. This is in line with Riot’s tradition of making balance changes midway through the season, coinciding with the Mid-Season Invitational. In Patch 12.7, 14 champions will receive alterations, with more updates on the way before the start of MSI on May 10.

Among the 14 champions, four will be nerfed in the patch. The most significant changes are reserved for Rengar, who will see a 40% reduction in bonus damage dealt to towers and structures by Savagery (Q). However, the damage dealt to jungle monsters will be increased at all ranks to offset this nerf.

Other champions will also have their offensive output nerfed in Patch 12.7. Lee Sin will receive a nerf to his base Attack Damage and the damage of Sonic Wave (Q). Jayce’s base HP and base Armor will be reduced, but his HP and Armor per level will be increased to balance it out.

In addition, Ryze will experience a slight nerf as his mana-scaling ratios for Overload (Q) will be reduced from three percent to two percent. Zeri is also slated for a nerf, although the specifics of the changes have not yet been revealed.

Items will also undergo nerfs in Patch 12.7. Moonstone Renewer will have its healing and shielding power reduced, while Galeforce’s cooldown will increase from 90 seconds to 110 seconds. Winter’s Approach (and Fimbulwinter) will cost 100 gold more and provide 50 less health.

The official patch schedule states that League of Legends Patch 12.7 will be released on April 13.
