The popular skin discount store, Your Shop, is making a comeback in League of Legends alongside the introduction of the new champion Akshan and the third week of the Sentinels of Light event. However, a temporary bug has caused the shop to go offline. Riot Games has shed some light on how the discounts are created for each player.
A senior data engineer at Riot Games, known as RiotWhiskies, explained that the process of generating individualized discounts in Your Shop involves various complexities. She clarified some confusion surrounding the discounts and revealed that an algorithm analyzes players’ behavior, including champion and role preferences, to provide unique discounts based on that data.

According to RiotWhiskies, players will never encounter the same offer twice unless it’s the only option left. This means that each time Your Shop becomes available, players with a smaller collection of League’s 1,000+ skins can expect different cosmetics and discounts. Your Shop is only open a few times a year.
This iteration of Your Shop is notable as it includes a Legendary skin offer for the second time. The previous occasion was during League’s 10th-anniversary event. While the algorithm for selecting Legendary skins remains undisclosed, it likely follows the same criteria as other cosmetics in Your Shop.
Due to a bug, Your Shop is temporarily disabled for all players, but it is expected to be fixed soon. RiotWhiskers has assured players that they are working to ensure that their offers won’t change once the bug is resolved. Players can anticipate discovering their personalized discounts when Your Shop reopens.
