Lee Sin and Teemo to Receive Long-Awaited Art and Sustainability Updates in League of Legends
Two of the most iconic champions in League of Legends, Lee Sin and Teemo, are finally getting their long-awaited art and sustainability updates (ASU), according to a recent developer post by Riot Games. The ASU release dates for both champions are tentatively set for 2024, with Lee Sin’s update planned for the first half of the year and Teemo’s update in the second half.
Improvements for Lee Sin
The development team aims to enhance Lee Sin’s design and abilities to make his power source more evident, improving gameplay clarity and updating animations. Additionally, Lee Sin’s model will be updated to eliminate any “neck” memes on social media. It is essential to maintain the champion’s familiar feel while incorporating new Riot charm, considering his popularity in solo queue and competitive play.
Makeover for Teemo
Teemo will receive a similar makeover, including updated spell animations, a fresh voiceover, detailed lore, new recalls, and additional facial expressions on Summoner’s Rift. His base design and quotes, which have remained unchanged since his release, will also be refreshed to allow for possible interactions with new champions and characters.
As one of the most universally-hated champions in League of Legends, Riot has the opportunity to transform Teemo visually, aligning him with the newer additions to the game’s growing roster.
