Riot reintroduces Alistar in LoL Arena update while also making some content changes

League of Legends Arena: Alistar Returns, Viego’s Cameo Disabled

Riot Games has released the second patch for League of Legends Arena, bringing back Alistar as a playable champion. However, the game mode still has some issues that need to be addressed. Alistar was previously disabled due to a problem with his ultimate ability, Unbreakable Will, which didn’t cleanse CC or reduce damage taken. Despite Alistar’s comeback, other bugs still persist in the game, and the developers have now disabled Viego’s Arena cameo.

According to a tweet from the League of Legends development team on August 4, Alistar has been re-enabled in Arena after being disabled on August 2. However, there are still numerous bugs affecting the game, and the developers made the decision to disable Viego’s cameo appearance in the mode.

In a recent hotfix update, Riot Games fixed some of the bugs related to Viego’s cameo. These fixes included resolving issues with Aphelios and Viego HUD interaction, as well as addressing a bug with the Soul Fighter Viego skin that caused him to die instantly if the match lasted longer than usual.

The dev team announced that Viego’s cameo has been disabled due to a critical bug, but no further details were provided. Since the release of Patch 13.15, League of Legends players have been reporting various bugs related to Viego’s cameo. Some players lost passive stacks as Sona, while others lost access to one of their spells for the remainder of the match.

Considering the time it took to fix Alistar’s issues, it is likely that Viego’s cameo will be restored over the weekend. It’s not surprising that Viego has been causing plenty of bugs, as he had a multitude of issues when he was first released. While the concept of his cameo is solid, the champion is quite prone to problems.
