Riot Provides Sneak Peek at New and Updated Items in League Patch 11.13

League of Legends Patch 11.13 Preview: Changes Incoming

League of Legends’ gameplay design director, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, has given players a glimpse of what to expect in Patch 11.13. Brace yourself for a lot of changes.

Riot Games’ midseason patch is just around the corner, and this time, the focus will be on items, much like the recent preseason.

Two new items, Hullbreaker and Anathema’s Chains, will be introduced in Patch 11.13. These items, falling under the Legendary category, cater to attack damage splitpushers and tanks respectively. They were previously showcased on the PBE.

Patch 11.13 will see adjustments to nearly every high-power item. Some items will receive direct buffs or nerfs, while others will have changes to address the issue of “mobility creep.” In essence, mobility creep refers to the problem of champions having excessive mobility through third-party sources like runes or items.

Items such as Galeforce and Prowler’s Claw have been granting ADCs unnecessary mobility in 2021, so they will be nerfed in Patch 11.13. Ranged champions will also experience a decrease in power from Divine Sunderer.

Mobility items like Cosmic Drive, Nimbus Cloak, and Shurelya’s Battlesong will receive nerfs, while Stridebreaker and Dead Man’s Plate, among others, will undergo adjustments.

In addition to nerfs, Patch 11.13 will also introduce buffs for several ability power items such as Everfrost, Luden’s Tempest, Liandry’s Anguish, and Moonstone Renewer.

The official League patch schedule states that Patch 11.13 will go live on Wednesday, June 23.
