Riot provides clarity on pricing confusion for upcoming Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah and Rakan skins in LoL

Riot Games Clarifies Pricing of Redeemed Star Guardian Skins

The pricing of skins in League of Legends continues to be a controversial topic among players. Recently, there was concern about the availability and cost of two highly anticipated skins. Riot Games has now issued a statement to clear up any confusion.

Redeemed Star Guardian Skins Coming to PC Version of League

The final batch of previously Wild Rift-exclusive Star Guardian skins, Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah and Rakan, are making their way to the PC version of League. These skins were initially released in the mobile version and were not expected to be available in the PC version. However, they are now available for testing on the game’s PBE server, indicating an upcoming release.

Riot Ensures Fans Won’t Have to Pay a Fortune

There was some unrest among fans regarding the pricing of these skins. Riot Games has reassured players that they won’t have to spend a lot of money to obtain them. The skins will be available for purchase for 1,820 RP each when they are released. Additionally, there will be a bundled discount for those who want to purchase both skins.

Clarification on Pricing

Initially, the client listed the Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah and Rakan skins as available for purchase for 250 Mythic Essence each. This would have made them more expensive than any other skins in the store, including Prestige skins. However, Riot Games has clarified that this is not the case. The skins will be available for 1,820 RP each or 2,002 RP as a bundle.

This clarification follows the backlash Riot received for the Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin skin, which was considered too expensive by players. Riot has promised to take feedback into account for future skin releases.

No Use of “Mythic Variant” Pricing Scheme

Riot Games has confirmed that Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah and Rakan will not follow the controversial “Mythic Variant” pricing scheme. These skins will only be available for a limited time and will then be rotated in with other Mythic Shop skins.

It is currently unclear how “Mythic Variants” will be handled in the future. Riot Games has reassured fans that the pricing of these skins will not be as expensive as initially stated.
