Ahri and Evelynn to Receive Prestige Skins, Completing the K/DA Collection
This week’s Snowdown event saw the release of Prestige editions for two K/DA skins—Akali and Kai’Sa. However, some League of Legends fans were concerned that Ahri and Evelynn, the remaining two K/DA members, had been forgotten. Fortunately, Riot staffer Stephen Mortimer confirmed on Twitter that Ahri and Evelynn will indeed be receiving their own Prestige K/DA skins. This is great news for fans who want to complete their collection of K/DA Prestige skins.
What are Prestige Skins?
If you’re not familiar with Prestige skins, they are variants of other skins that feature a white and gold theme for abilities and overall design. Prestige K/DA Akali and Kai’Sa, for example, had unique costumes, hair, and ability effects in addition to their white and gold color palette. These skins are not just chromas, but completely separate from the original K/DA skins.
While some members of the community have expressed concerns about the quality of recent Prestige skins like Aatrox and Vayne compared to the original ones for Kai’Sa and Akali, Riot has not addressed these suspicions yet.
No Timeline Announced
There is currently no timeline for the release of the K/DA Prestige skins for Ahri and Evelynn. However, considering that there has been one Prestige skin per event since the first one was introduced, and knowing that the next event with Prestige Firecracker Vayne will likely be at the end of the month, we can expect an official reveal closer to that time.
