The LCK Champions DRX to Receive In-Game Skins in League of Legends
The reigning League of Legends world champions from the LCK, DRX, are set to be immortalized with their own in-game skins. Riot Games has confirmed that the skins, featuring Aatrox, Kindred, Maokai, Akali, Ashe, and Caitlyn, will be available for testing on the PBE soon and will likely be released with Patch 13.11 on June 1.
Champions Represent the Players
Each champion chosen to receive a commemorative skin was played by the players of DRX during their historic run at the 2022 World Championship. These champions were the top picks of each player and were identified just a few weeks after Worlds concluded. The Aatrox skin represents Kingen, Kindred embodies Pyosik’s passion, Maokai is the skin for substitute Juhan, Akali reflects Zeka’s slashing skills, Caitlyn completes Deft’s achievement, and Ashe showcased BeryL’s support abilities.
Design and Details
The DRX skins feature shades of blue and white to honor the team’s logo and jerseys. The players collaborated with the designers on these skins, adding their influence to their appearance and recall animations, complete with their signatures. The skins also incorporate the DRX logo and the Summoner’s Cup in various parts of the champions’ animations.
Prestige Version and Release
Riot announced that the DRX skin line will include a Prestige version, which is expected to be earnable through an in-game event or purchase in the Mythic shop. The finals MVP, Kingen, will receive this special version, featuring diamond-like features that set it apart from other Prestige skins commonly adorned with gold assets.
The six League of Legends skins commemorating DRX, the reigning world champions, will soon be available on the PBE for testing before their official release with Patch 13.11.
