Riot Games Updates Sweetheart Xayah and Rakan Skins
Riot Games has made updates to the Sweetheart Xayah and Rakan skins on the PBE, introducing new textures to both 3D models. Fans of the popular game, League of Legends, have expressed their dissatisfaction with these skins since their initial reveal. Some fans even took it upon themselves to redesign the skins, while others have called on Riot Games to make significant changes before their release in Patch 8.3.
Elvem4g3pker, a Reddit user, shared before and after screenshots of the skins to visually highlight the alterations made.
The recent update includes changes to Rakan’s hair color, the pendant on his chest, and the addition of a small pink heart decal on his coat. Xayah’s dress now has a gold trim at the bottom, a new heart shoulder pad, and a small pink heart charm on her collar.
Despite these changes, fans continue to express concerns on Reddit, stating that they feel the alterations are insufficient for the price of 1,350 RP.
Riot Games’ 3D character artist, Yekaterina Bourykina, commented on the changes, explaining that there are limitations on what the team can add or implement due to various issues.
Despite the ongoing changes and updates, it seems that fans have already formed their opinions on the skins. Sweetheart Xayah and Rakan are set to be released in approximately a month with Patch 8.3.
