Riot Games reverses initial modifications to Rakan, unveils fresh adjustments

Riot Games Reverts Changes to Rakan and Addresses Community Concerns

Riot Games is taking player feedback into account and making adjustments to Rakan, a champion in League of Legends. The company is reverting major changes originally planned for Rakan’s abilities and instead implementing healthier adjustments to his kit.

Riot game designer Blake “Squad5” Smith announced the improved adjustments, addressing the community’s desire for Rakan to have more durability and a speed buff for his W ability. These changes were highly requested by the League of Legends community.

Community Concerns Addressed

Earlier, Squad5 had revealed significant adjustments to Rakan’s kit, which would have prevented him from using his W and E abilities during his ultimate ability, the Quickness. However, the community expressed dissatisfaction with these changes, calling Rakan a “dead” champion. Fortunately, Riot Games has listened to the feedback and decided to keep Rakan’s ability to use his W and E during his ultimate. The only tweak made is the addition of a 0.5 second cast time during which Rakan cannot use Flash or W.

Improved Balance for Rakan

By granting Rakan greater innate tankiness and health, Riot Games enables him to engage more effectively without being instantly eliminated by the enemy team. Many fans agree with this change, as seen in the responses to Squad5’s tweet. These adjustments contribute to a more balanced and necessary kit for Rakan.

Riot Games Listens to its Players

Riot Games’ responsiveness to player feedback when it comes to champion adjustments is commendable. It demonstrates their commitment to creating an enjoyable gaming experience that takes the player community into consideration.
