Riot Games reveals a sneak peak of the model and ability animations for Little Demon Tristana in monthly update

Update on the Development of Little Demon Tristana Skin for League of Legends

It has been more than a month since the League of Legends community voted for Little Demon Tristana as the next skin for Bandle City’s Yordle Gunner. Riot Games now brings a four-week update on the progress of the skin’s development.

In the previous update, the development team shared four potential splash art options and the creative direction they planned for the skin.

Riot then proceeded to test the initial model of Little Demon Tristana. They combined various pieces from different character and skin models, such as Demon Vi’s horns, Omega Squad Tristana’s gun, and Little Devil Teemo’s wings and tail, to create the first version of the skin.

After creating the proxy, the developers began sculpting the 3D model of the character and optimizing it to match the game’s graphics. The model also needed to be rigged to ensure smooth and fluid movements as the character moves on Summoner’s Rift.

Riot also provided a sneak peek at the idle and ability animations for Tristana’s Rocket Jump (W). When Tristana jumps forward, she unfurls a set of blue wings, and her landing is accompanied by blue particle flames.

To create many of the skin’s sound effects, Riot used recordings from the creation of Little Devil Teemo and other projects. These sounds were then combined with fire and animal sound effects from the library.

While there is still some work left before Little Demon Tristana is ready for the Rift, fans should stay tuned for the next update, which will focus on the skin’s sound effects and voice-over processing.
