Riot Games Pays Homage to Miami Vice with New Arcade Game at NA LCS Finals

Riot Games Reveals New Game at NA LCS Finals

Riot Games, known for their popular game “League of Legends,” surprised fans at the NA LCS Finals in Miami last weekend by unveiling a brand new game. Titled “Demacia Vice Squad,” the game features the iconic “League” champions Garen and Lucian as rough-and-tumble cops in an alternate universe. Players take on the role of these characters and fight against hordes of criminals on the Miami Vice-inspired streets of Demacia. Think “Streets of Rage” meets ’80s crime drama.

Although “Demacia Vice Squad” may not be a massive RPG or a visually stunning fighter, it offers a fun and enjoyable experience. The game was created by Riot developers during Thunderdome, a 72-hour hackathon-type event for Riot staff to develop quick games.

During our playthrough, we even managed to defeat the final boss, a gigantic neon-clad Darius. And we’re proud to say we secured a spot in the top four of the high-score list.

As of now, it is unclear whether Riot plans to release “Demacia Vice Squad” for purchase, as the game can be completed in just five to ten minutes.
