Riot Games kicks off 2021 Pride celebrations with free cosmetics in all games

Riot Games Celebrates Pride Month Across its Games

Riot Games is embracing inclusivity and celebrating Pride Month with a range of events and content across all of its games. The festivities kick off on May 17, which is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, and will continue throughout the entire month.

In League of Legends, players can show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community by using rainbow poro player icons and completing new missions to unlock Pride-themed emotes. Custom homeguard trails will also be available until the end of June for players using these icons.

Teamfight Tactics players will also have access to rainbow poro player icons and unique accessories for the game. Completing a special mission will reward players with Pride-themed booms in different color combinations of the LGBTQIA+ flags. Equipping a rainbow poro icon in TFT will activate the homeguard trails for the Little Legends to enjoy.

Legends of Runeterra will offer new rainbow poro icons through a free bundle in the store starting from May 19. This bundle includes a new emote featuring Tyari the Traveler and a new Guardian called Ellie the Elephant. Wild Rift players can also obtain these icons through new missions that grant an emote and homeguard trail.

VALORANT players can look forward to an in-game Pride celebration, with more information to be revealed as Pride month approaches.

In addition to the in-game celebrations, Riot Games will release Pride-themed merchandise in their store from June 1 to July 31. This merchandise includes mugs, shirts, hand fans, and more, featuring designs of wards inspired by the LGBTQIA+ flags. All proceeds from the sales will go to the It Gets Better Project.

Players can join in the Pride celebrations, access new cosmetics in the in-game shops, and look forward to more inclusive cosmetics in the future.
