Riot Games introduces scaling buffs for Corki – enhancing his power potential

The Impact of League of Legends Patch 12.21 on Corki

In the upcoming League of Legends patch 12.21, there are a few changes that may have a significant impact before the preseason arrives. One of the most notable changes is the buffs to Corki’s scaling, as revealed by the balance team lead, Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison.

In this patch, Corki will receive offensive and defensive buffs. He will gain an additional 0.3 AD per level, resulting in a total of 5.1 AD. Additionally, his base HP per level will increase from 101 to 105, reaching a total of 2,373 instead of 2,305.

There were rumors circulating about changes to Corki, but now we have confirmed numbers on what those changes will be.

Corki is often seen in professional play and is known for creating more scaling metas due to the high amount of damage he can deal from the mid lane. These changes may further solidify Corki’s role in that type of gameplay.

In pro play, Corki’s build path usually involves a mix of damage types. Items like Manamune, Luden’s Tempest, and Ravenous Hydra were typical core items for Corki in the past year.

If the previous changes in patch 12.13 were the beginning of a trend, these new buffs may push Corki towards becoming a more AD-focused champion instead of relying heavily on his unique magic damage auto attacks.

Aside from Corki, there are also changes for other champions such as Miss Fortune, Bel’Veth, and Xin Zhao that have already been implemented on the PBE. Furthermore, there will be numerous item changes introduced in patch 12.21 as well.
