Riot Games introduces Riot Forge, a studio for creating League of Legends spin-off games

Riot Games Unveils Riot Forge, a New Publishing Label for League of Legends Games

Riot Games has announced the launch of Riot Forge, a new publishing label that will collaborate with external studios to create games set in the popular League of Legends universe. The goal of Riot Forge is to work with experienced studios outside of Riot Games to develop custom League of Legends games, which will be published under the Riot Forge label.

Expanding the League of Legends Universe

Riot Forge aims to expand the League of Legends universe by partnering with talented developers in a variety of genres and platforms. By collaborating with other studios, Riot Forge will be able to create fresh stories within the League universe while remaining true to the existing lore of the game. This collaboration will allow these studios to build their own narratives and contribute to the rich League of Legends mythology.

Riot Forge will provide assistance and guidance to these external studios, helping them navigate the complexities of the League of Legends world. This ensures that the games developed by these studios align with the established lore and maintain the authenticity of the League universe.

Platform Availability and Player Experience

The majority of the games developed under Riot Forge will be available on PC, mobile, and console platforms. However, some games may be exclusive to specific platforms in order to optimize the player experience. Each game will be designed with the right platform in mind to deliver the best possible gaming experience to players.

Debut at The Game Awards

Riot Forge will make its official debut at The Game Awards on Thursday, December 12, where a new video game will be unveiled. The live event starts at 7:30pm CT, and fans can watch the exciting announcement to get a sneak peek into the new game and its features.
