Riot Games Addresses Ranked Experience Adjustments in League of Legends

Riot Games, the team behind the popular game League of Legends, has recently shared their plans to enhance the ranked experience for players. They aim to make improvements to LP gain and the wider system.

Reduction in Negative LP Gains for Emerald Players

Last season, around 50 percent of Emerald players encountered extended periods of negative LP gains, while this issue affected 85 percent of players in the Masters and above ranks. Fortunately, Riot has resolved this problem, and now only 5 percent of players experience it. Lead designer Matthew “Riot Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison mentioned that players below Emerald may still experience occasional short periods of negative LP gains. However, the League team will actively work on minimizing these instances by adjusting the gains and losses.
