Riot experiments with Miss Fortune critical strike buffs on League PBE

League of Legends: Miss Fortune Receives Buff to Critical Strike Builds

Riot Games has introduced a new build on the League of Legends PBE server that brings substantial improvements to Miss Fortune’s twin pistols, enhancing her critical strike builds.

Tim “Truexy” Jiang, an associate game designer, outlined the changes that are in store for Miss Fortune. The developers have focused on increasing the damage output of her Q ability, Double Up.

Additionally, the cast time for Miss Fortune’s Q is being adjusted, changing from a base time of 0.25 seconds to match the player’s basic attack speed.

Miss Fortune’s ability Strut will also receive an update, increasing the bonus attack speed granted when activated. Each level of the ability will now provide a 10 percent buff.

The mana cost of Strut is also being reduced from 45 to 35 mana. This change aims to encourage players to prioritize maxing out her Q ability rather than constantly using her Make It Rain for poke damage.

Another adjustment is being made to Miss Fortune’s Make It Rain ability. The cooldown timers and damage-over-time effect will be nerfed, but the slow effect will receive a slight buff. Instead of a scaling slow, the ability will now apply a fixed 50 percent slow, with an additional four percent increase for every 100 ability power.

To further enhance her critical strike builds, Riot Games is increasing the bonus critical strike chance damage from 20 percent to 30 percent of each wave’s damage. This change could incentivize players to adopt a late-game critical strike focused build.

Patch 12.17 for League of Legends is scheduled for release on Thursday, Sept. 8.
