Riot confirms Akshan’s passive allows him to revive allies with his W ability, even after his own death

Riot Games Introduces Akshan, the Newest Champion in League of Legends

Riot Games has revealed Akshan, the latest addition to League of Legends’ champion roster. The player base is excited about his potential in both solo queue and professional play, particularly because of his unique abilities. One of his abilities, Going Rogue, has generated a lot of discussion due to its passive effect of reviving players even if Akshan himself dies.

The Unique Passive of Going Rogue

Going Rogue’s passive activates when enemy champions kill one of Akshan’s allies, marking them as Scoundrels. When Akshan eliminates a Scoundrel, he earns bonus gold, all slain allies revive at their fountain, and the Scoundrel status is removed from other enemies. This passive has already amazed players with its resurrection capability and utility provided to Akshan.

The Active Ability and its Strengths

Aside from the passive, Going Rogue’s active ability grants Akshan camouflage temporarily or indefinitely when near terrain. Moreover, he can detect a trail leading to opponents marked as Scoundrels, gaining movement speed and mana regeneration by following this trail.

Akshan’s Ability to Revive Allies Even After His Death

Champion designer Glenn “Twin Enso” Anderson confirmed that Akshan can revive his allies even after his own death, provided he damaged them within three seconds. Although he cannot resurrect himself, the rest of his teammates are eligible for revival.

LCS caster Christy “Ender” Frierson consulted Riot’s developers about this feature, and they confirmed that if Akshan damages an enemy champion within three seconds, the passive will still activate upon the enemy champion’s death. However, Akshan must have dealt the damage himself for the revival to occur.

The only requirement is that Akshan must have caused damage to the enemy champion within the last three seconds. With the fast-paced nature of teamfights in the current meta, securing an assist should be achievable for this flashy gunslinger. Akshan simply needs to land a tick of damage on multiple enemy team members and hope that the skirmish doesn’t drag on for too long.
