Riot China Unveils Impressive Swain Rework that Exceeds Expectations

Riot Teases Swain Champion Rework

Riot has finally given players a glimpse of the highly anticipated Swain champion rework. The update, which was first announced in July, has been eagerly awaited by fans. Unlike previous champion updates, such as Warwick, Galio, and Urgot, Swain is already quite popular, adding even more excitement to this rework.

After several months of silence from Riot, aside from a small mention in October’s Champion Roadmap, the company has released a teaser animation of Swain’s new look. First posted on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, the English version was soon released by Riot’s North American office.

The wait was worth it. Swain’s new look is impressive.

In the teaser animation, Swain boasts, “I have the vision to see what others cannot. By my hand will Noxus rise once more.” Riot has effectively portrayed him as a hyper-intelligent tactician who will use cunning to help Noxus defeat its enemies. This aligns with his background story, which was not accurately reflected in his previous in-game appearance and playstyle.

The new and improved Swain may be ready to play by the time Patch 8.3 is released in three weeks. Typically, it takes about a week for new champion updates to reach the PBE after their official reveal.
