However, players were dissatisfied with the original plans, as they would only be able to change their names once every 365 days and would have to pay $10 for each change.

The company has decided to eliminate the $10 charge for name changes when the new system goes live on Nov. 20. Additionally, players will now be able to change their Riot ID every 90 days instead of waiting a full year.
