Riot allows LoL players to vote on upcoming fast support item name

Riot Games asks Community to Name and Theme New Item in League of Legends

Riot Games is once again turning to the League of Legends player base for feedback, this time for a new support item set to be released early next year. In a recent community blog post, the Summoner’s Rift team announced that players will have the opportunity to name the item and determine its visual effects through a community vote.

Vote Now for the Item Name and Theme

The new support item, currently known as “Go Fast with Friends,” is designed to provide champions with increased movement speed as they navigate the map. Once a certain movement speed cap is reached, a trail will follow the player. This trail will enhance the speed of nearby allies while damaging and slowing down the first enemy hit by the champion’s attack.

Players are being presented with three different themes for the item, each representing a different region in the world of League of Legends. The first option is “Eerie Invitation,” where the trail turns into mist from the Shadow Isles. The passive effect for this theme is called “Dark Missive.” The second option is “Trailblazer,” which creates a path of golden dust inspired by the Shurima region. The passive effect is named “Make the Path.” The final option is “Scout’s Fanfare,” featuring pipes that emit music notes and aim to rally Yordles with the passive ability “Lead the Way!”

To participate in the vote, players can access the “overview” tab within the League client. Each player is allowed one vote, and voting will remain open until Friday, October 6. Following the vote, the new item is expected to be patched into the PBE (Public Beta Environment) alongside other preseason changes on November 20.

Don’t miss this chance to have a say in the future of League of Legends! Cast your vote now and help shape the game’s upcoming support item.
