Riot aims to strengthen AD Kennen in upcoming patches

Riot Plans to Buff AD Kennen Build in Next Patch

In an upcoming patch, Riot Games plans to buff the AD Kennen build in the popular game League of Legends. This change may encourage more players to try out this build and potentially increase its effectiveness.

Kennen, a versatile champion in the game, has traditionally been associated with high ability power (AP) builds. However, some players have been experimenting with using him as an attack damage carry (ADC) in the bottom lane. This unconventional approach has found limited success but has not been as popular as AP or hybrid builds.

In the next patch, the AD Kennen strategy could see significant improvements. Riot Games aims to enhance his W ability, Electrical Surge, by increasing its base damage and adding a substantial bonus AD scaling. Currently, the ability has a flat bonus AD scaling of 60 percent. After the buff, it will start at 60 percent and grow to an impressive 100 percent at max rank, providing a significant late-game power spike for ADC players.

Additionally, Kennen’s E ability, Lightning Rush, will receive a new effect. Whenever Kennen damages an enemy in lightning-ball form, he will gain a significant attack speed increase. This attack speed steroid will start at 30 percent at rank one and scale up to 70 percent at max rank. This change offers AD Kennen players the opportunity to deal more damage with basic attacks, making the build more appealing.

The upcoming patch, Patch 8.9, is scheduled to go live in two weeks, bringing these exciting buffs to AD Kennen players.
