Immortals make substitutions in Academy roster during week 3 of the 2020 LCS Summer Split

Immortals Changes Starting Lineup for Week Three of LCS Summer Split

The Immortals esports organization is making changes to its starting lineup for week three of the 2020 LCS Summer Split. This move comes after the departure of the team’s head coach and general manager earlier in the week. Immortals will be starting their Academy roster for the upcoming matches.

New Starting Lineup Revealed

The new starting lineup includes Kieran “Allorim” Logue as the top laner, Xmithie as the jungler, David “Insanity” Challe as the mid laner, Apollo Price as the bot laner, and Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent as the support.

The decision to change the starting lineup comes after Immortals’ disappointing start to the Summer Split. The team is currently tied with Dignitas for last place heading into week three, having not won a single game in the first two weeks of the split.

Earlier in the week, Immortals parted ways with head coach Thomas “Zaboutine” Si-Hassen and general manager Keaton Cryer. Both Zaboutine and Cryer previously worked for OpTic Gaming before Immortals acquired Infinite Esports, OpTic’s parent company, last year.

Lack of Success for Immortals

Immortals has not had much success since its return to the LCS stage. In the Spring Split, the team finished in eighth place with an 8-10 record. The Academy roster also had a similar outcome, placing ninth with a 7-11 score.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch Immortals’ new lineup in action today as they take on Golden Guardians at 6pm CT. Tomorrow, the team will face Cloud9, the current top-ranked team in the LCS who has yet to lose a game this split.
