Danish Jungler Santorin Set to Join Team Liquid for 2021 LCS Spring Split

According to renowned League of Legends reporter Travis Gafford, Danish jungler Santorin has verbally agreed to join Team Liquid for the upcoming 2021 LCS Spring Split. The 23-year-old is currently signed with FlyQuest but is reportedly set to join Liquid under a one-year contract.

Last week, Santorin announced that he had received permission to explore opportunities outside of FlyQuest in preparation for the start of free agency. The talented jungler is open to offers from both North America and Europe.

Santorin joined FlyQuest in 2018 after leaving EU LCS team H2k Gaming. In 2020, he played a pivotal role in leading FlyQuest to two LCS Finals appearances and their first ever World Championship.

While Team Liquid has not yet made any significant changes to their player roster, they recently welcomed former Origen jungler Kold as their new strategic coach. Additionally, they extended Jensen’s contract for three more years, reportedly making it the highest salary in LCS history at $4.2 million. The second and third highest-paid contracts in LCS history belong to Impact and Huni.

Team Liquid’s Focus on Acquisition

Team Liquid is also reportedly aiming to acquire European top laner Alphari in a multi-year deal. If the deal goes through, Alphari will replace Impact, who has been one of the team’s longest-standing players. Furthermore, jungler Broxah is set to enter free agency this offseason.

The LCS free agency window will open on November 16 at 6pm CT.
