Reportedly, Former LEC Rookie of the Split returns to LCK for 2024.

Former Astralis Support JeongHoon Reportedly Returns to LCK

After a year in the European League of Legends competitive scene, it seems that former Astralis support Lee “JeongHoon” Jeong-hoon is heading back home to the LCK. According to esports reporter Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis, JeongHoon has reached a verbal agreement to join Liiv SANDBOX as their new support for the upcoming season.

If this move happens, JeongHoon will be joining a roster of experienced players including mid laner Lee “Clozer” Ju-hyeon, top laner Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon, and AD carry Park “Teddy” Jin-seong.

During his time with the LEC and Astralis, JeongHoon showed promise as a talented support player. Despite the team’s lack of success, he had several standout moments, including being named Rookie of the Split during the 2022 Summer Split.

JeongHoon’s cheerful personality and impressive plays on champions like Rakan, Bard, and Pyke made him a fan favorite among LEC fans. Even on a struggling team, he always brought excitement to matches.

This report comes after Astralis’ departure from the LEC, with popular LFL organization Karmine Corp acquiring their league slot for the 2024 season. As a result, Astralis’ current lineup will need to find new homes in the upcoming offseason.
