Reportedly, Excel is set to acquire Patrik from Origen

Excel to Acquire Patrik Jírů for Bot Lane Upgrade

Excel, one of the struggling teams in the LEC, is determined to strengthen its bot lane for the upcoming 2020 season. According to an ESPN report, the team is set to acquire 19-year-old AD carry Patrik Jírů from Origen. Jírů is currently in the process of finalizing terms with Excel, where he will sign a two-year contract.

Origen’s Disappointing Performance in LEC 2019 Summer Split

During the LEC 2019 Summer split, Origen had a relatively poor performance. With a 7-11 record, they tied with Vitality, SK Gaming, and Rogue, finishing just above Misfits Gaming and Excel. Unfortunately, Origen missed out on attending Worlds 2019 after losing to Splyce in the first round of the LEC regional finals gauntlet.

Drastic Changes for Excel in the Offseason

Excel has made significant changes during the offseason to revamp their roster. Along with the addition of support player Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen from Splyce, the team has also secured the services of former Fnatic coach Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool.

A Step in the Right Direction for Excel

Excel has faced criticism for their lack of leadership and firepower, but they appear to be moving in the right direction with their recent acquisitions. These moves aim to ensure better results for the team in the upcoming season.
