Reported and Confirmed: League of Legends Rosters for LCO 2023

2023 Roster News for Oceania’s League of Legends Teams

After the 2022 World Championship, League of Legends teams in Oceania are now facing the challenge of free agency. This means big changes to rosters, new teams forming, and a rush to build strong lineups before the start of Split One in January.

Last time, The Chiefs had an impressive run, only losing one game during the entire split. However, they faced a tough battle with Pentanet.GG in the grand finals and lost 3-1. Despite their loss at Worlds, their dominance in the domestic league cannot be ignored.

2023 will bring changes to Oceania as a region as well. Starting from LCO 2023 Split One, Australian teams hoping to play internationally will face a tougher road. Oceania will now send two seeded teams to the PCS playoffs instead of having a direct pathway to international events.

Ground Zero Gaming and Team Bliss are the two new teams joining the competition, replacing ORDER and Gravitas respectively.

The Chiefs

The Chiefs, who finished first in LCO 2022 Split Two, are looking for redemption after their disappointing performance at Worlds in Mexico City. They have made changes to their roster and will be retaining AD carry Raes for the 2023 lineup. They have also added BioPanther and Kisee from ex-ORDER as their top laner and mid laner respectively. Coach Babip will be returning as the team’s jungler.

Dire Wolves

The Dire Wolves, who finished fourth in LCO 2022 Split Two, have made changes to four out of their five players. They are bringing back Chazz, Praedyth, and Decoy from Pentanet.GG to form the core of their roster for next year. Zorenous will be their new top laner and Poltron will continue as their jungler.

Ground Zero Gaming

Ground Zero Gaming has acquired the LCO slot previously held by ORDER. They are fielding a new team with players including Tron, Gooby, mfis, Danteh, Bulldawg, and coach Aarsh.

Kanga Esports

Kanga Esports, who finished fifth in LCO 2022 Split Two, has made changes to their lineup as well. Blue, Meifan, Fighto, Hoopa, Shinki, and coach Eagz will be representing the team in 2023.

MAMMOTH

MAMMOTH, who finished seventh in LCO 2022 Split Two, has had consistent finishes in the bottom half of the league. They are bringing in new players, including Ch1Chi, Akano and District, DaJeung, Voice, and Entrust, along with coach Sahil.

PEACE

PEACE, who finished sixth in LCO 2022 Split Two, will be retaining Weizhe, Ko1eee, NuL1, Chayon, and their support player. The team, however, has faced issues with player pay and the org’s reputation is under question.

Pentanet.GG

Pentanet.GG, who finished third in LCO 2022 Split Two, had a strong performance in the playoffs. They have made changes to their roster, bringing in Violet and Apii as their bot lane duo. Shernfire, Chippys, and Donggy will also be joining the team along with coach Westonway.

Team Bliss

Team Bliss acquired the LCO slot previously held by Gravitas. Their roster includes players Lived, Whynot, Daystar, Leemas, Benvi, and coach Calvin.

The 2023 LCO and Oceanic League action is expected to return in January. Stay tuned for the exciting matches!
