CoreJJ’s Success with Team Liquid

CoreJJ has been a vital part of Team Liquid since the 2019 season, playing as the starting support. Under his guidance, Team Liquid has achieved significant milestones, winning two LCS titles and earning three consecutive appearances at the League World Championships from 2019 to 2021.

CoreJJ’s Contract and Potential Changes in Team Liquid

According to the League global contract database, CoreJJ’s contract with Team Liquid is set to expire on Nov. 21. To prevent him from becoming a free agent, Team Liquid aims to extend his contract before the deadline. Additionally, it has been reported that AD carry Hans Sama will be joining G2 Esports next season, and Team Liquid will be parting ways with mid laner Bjergsen, who joined the organization in 2022.

Academy Level Changes in Team Liquid

In the Academy level, Team Liquid may also be losing backup support Eyla, as his contract is expiring on Nov. 21. Eyla, recognized as one of the strongest players in the Academy scene, stepped in for CoreJJ during the early part of the 2022 season when CoreJJ faced visa approval issues. Team Liquid recently extended the contract of Academy-level ADC Yeon, possibly indicating a future bottom lane partnership with CoreJJ for the next season.

As the global contracts expire on Nov. 21, the 2022-23 League free agency window will open, setting the stage for potential roster changes across the League.
