Golden Guardians to Start Stixxay and Sign LIDER for the LCS Summer Split
According to a report from Upcomer, Golden Guardians will be starting Stixxay as the AD carry for the upcoming LCS Summer Split. Stixxay, who previously worked with the organization as a positional coach and substitute in the Spring Split, will now have the opportunity to play on stage this summer.
Stixxay Replacing Lost in the ADC Position
Stixxay played for Golden Guardians at the LCS level last season and played a crucial role in helping the team reach the playoffs in the Summer Split. As a result, he will be replacing Lost in the ADC position, who was recently released from the team.
LIDER Joins the Academy Roster
Additionally, Golden Guardians will be signing former Team Vitality mid laner LIDER to its Academy roster. Although LIDER hasn’t played a game for Vitality this season, he has remained on the team’s roster. He will be taking the place of Ryoma on Golden Guardians’ Academy team.
It’s important to note that LIDER hasn’t competed on the professional stage since last season’s LEC Summer Split playoffs. During that time, LIDER and Vitality were eliminated in the first round by Fnatic, who went on to represent Europe at the World Championship.
The 2022 LCS Summer Split will begin on June 18, marking the return of Golden Guardians to competitive play.
