Renegades Advoca for the LCS

This Season in NA Challenger Series

The NA Challenger Series featured two standout teams, Team Coast and Renegades. Both teams displayed the skills necessary to compete in the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split. Ultimately, Renegades emerged as the champions of the 2015 Summer Challenger Series.

Meet the Renegades Roster

The Renegades roster consists of:

  • Top – Oleksii “RF” Kuziuta
  • Jungle – Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo
  • Mid – Aleksei “Alex Ich” Ichetovkin
  • ADC – Ainslie “Maplestreet” Wyllie
  • Support – Maria “Remilia” Creveling

The Intense Finals

The finals went to full five games. Team Coast held a 2-1 lead, but Renegades turned things around with Maple’s dominating performance on Kalista in the fourth game. The fifth game featured an intense midgame with chaotic fights and numerous kills. Notably, Crumbz purchased Zeke’s as his third item while Alex only had Statikk Shiv for crit chance. In the end, MapleStreet’s 10-0-6 performance earned him the MVP Finals title, securing Renegades a spot in the LCS after defeating Team Coast 3-2.

Renegades Makes History with First Female LCS Player

Maria “Remilia” Creveling makes history as the first female LCS player to join Renegades. Renegades is already a popular team, and Maria’s addition is sure to attract even more fans. While there is some controversy and discussion regarding the presence of a female player in the LCS, it is important to focus on skill rather than gender on the competitive stage. Remilia has proven herself to be an exceptional Thresh player and shot caller, contributing to the team’s success. It will be intriguing to see how she adapts to the LoL eSports system throughout the upcoming Spring Split 2016.

Alex Ich and his Impact on Renegades

Alex Ich, a seasoned professional player, brings immense passion and dedication to Renegades. Having competed in Worlds twice, Alex’s presence will undoubtedly attract players, spectators, and fans. As a mid-laner, he will face tough competition in Bjergsen, Pobelter, and Fenix, but his partnership with Crumbz will be foundational for Renegades’ long-term success. Alex’s return to LCS is a testament to his desire to compete and work with the team.

The Weakest Link

RF, the top laner for Renegades, lacks experience in professional games and team dynamics. However, he brings strong mechanical skills to the table. While RF acknowledges that he has limited experience in dedicated teams, he appreciates the positive team environment within Renegades. He aims to continue learning and improving alongside his teammates.

Future Outlook and the Upcoming Season

The start of Season 6 is approximately six months away, and Riot Games has yet to announce any additional teams or rules. Additionally, the highly anticipated Season 5 Worlds Championship will take place in Europe at the end of the year.
