Reignover expresses confidence in defeating the current Fnatic team

Reignover Finding Success with Immortals in North America

When Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin left Fnatic, the best Western team in history, he was in search of a new challenge. Despite Fnatic’s dominating performance in Europe last season, Reignover was bored and wanted a change of scenery. After considering offers from both Korea and North America, he eventually settled on Immortals, a new team in the North American League Championship Series (LCS). Although he was seeking a challenge, Immortals has proven to be the hot team in the game right now, remaining undefeated at 4-0.

Challenges and Competitiveness

In a recent interview, Reignover talked about his win against NRG eSports, the only other undefeated team in the LCS before Immortals faced them. Reignover showed a bit of moxie and fire when he responded to former teammate Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten’s comments about Lee “Spirit” Da-yoon being a better mid-lane ganker. Reignover defended his new mid-laner, Eugene “Pobelter” Park, by saying that Pobelter dies to ganks way less often than Febiven does. Although Reignover admits that Febiven didn’t mean any offense, he felt the need to respond to his former teammate.

Chemistry and Synergy

One of the reasons Immortals has been so successful is the chemistry and teamwork developed by Reignover and his former Fnatic teammate, Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon. Immortals has a roster that was put together just over a month ago, yet they have managed to play with a synergy that is rare for a new team. Reignover believes that their play styles are similar and that they have a lot of aggressive players, making it tough for their opponents to play against them.

Reignover’s Role and Praise from His Teammates

Reignover plays a supportive role on the team, often making aggressive counter-jungling moves that open up opportunities for his teammates. Mid-laner Pobelter describes Reignover as his dream jungler and praises his ability to put down vision and play fearlessly. WildTurtle also commends Reignover for his ability to play with the team, saying that they don’t have to tell him what to do because he already knows.

Reignover’s Growth and Future Goals

Reignover acknowledges that he has matured as a person and as a player since his time in Korea. He believes that a return to Korea could be “game over” for the other team, as communication is his greatest asset and he can perform even better when speaking Korean. Despite receiving offers from pro teams from around the world, Reignover chose to join Immortals because he wanted to play in NA and because the team made a better offer than the others. He also wanted to reunite with Huni, whom he had developed strong chemistry and teamwork with during their time in Fnatic.

Looking ahead, Reignover recognizes that Immortals still have a long way to go and many challenges ahead. He believes that the team can learn from their losses and become a competitive team like Fnatic. When asked about facing off against his former Fnatic team from last year, Reignover shrugs and laughs, saying he’s not sure what would happen, as he would be playing against himself. However, he is confident that if Immortals were to play against the current Fnatic team, they would win.
