Queen’s Wrath Persists: Rek’Sai Dominates League Despite Nerfs

Rek’Sai Receives Minor Nerf but Still Dominates in League of Legends

Rek’Sai has been a top-tier champion in League of Legends for quite some time now. With the release of Patch 12.19, Riot Games decided to make a small adjustment to her base AD and jungle clear speed. Despite a slight reduction in her base attack damage from 64 to 61, the true void queen continues to reign supreme on Summoner’s Rift.

Surprisingly, Rek’Sai’s win rate has actually increased after the nerfs, particularly in Platinum and above games. According to U.GG, her win rate has gone up from 52.35 percent to 53.19 percent.

While there isn’t a definitive explanation for this increase, we suspect that it may have to do with her pick rate. In Patch 12.18, Rek’Sai had a pick rate of 3.8 percent and a ban rate of 8.2 percent. However, in Patch 12.19, her pick rate dropped to 2.9 percent and her ban rate decreased to 6.8 percent.

Essentially, the League community may have believed that the recent nerfs heavily impacted Rek’Sai, causing fewer players to choose her. As a result, only experienced players who truly understand her potential are still playing her.

If this trend continues, we can expect Rek’Sai’s win rate to potentially rise even further. These nerfs were merely a minor setback for the powerful champion.
