PZX’s Oversight in LPL Summer Split Week 8 Loss Raises Eyebrows

Victory Five Continues Losing Streak in LPL Summer Split

It has been a difficult season for Victory Five, the last-place team in the LPL. With a record of 0-13, they have become one of the weakest teams in China’s League of Legends scene.

Unfortunately, things went from bad to worse for Victory Five today. They suffered yet another defeat, this time against Suning, the runners-up from the 2020 World Championship. However, the true defeat of the day came from a mistake in the team’s summoner spells. Specifically, PZX, the team’s jungler, forgot to equip Smite for the first game of today’s best-of-three series.

The game went exactly as many of Victory Five’s previous matches this split, with Suning securing a victory with a kill score of 15 to one. Within 25 minutes, Suning managed to secure a Cloud Soul, as PZX and Victory Five were unable to contest any neutral objectives due to the jungler’s lack of Smite.

Although Victory Five managed to win the second game of the series, marking just their third win in 29 attempts this summer, Suning closed out the series in game three. This keeps Victory Five winless in their matches for the Summer Split, solidifying their position as the weakest team in the LPL.

Earlier this month, Victory Five became the first team from any major region to be officially eliminated from contention for a spot at the 2021 World Championship. With only three matches left to play this season, Victory Five will aim for their first win against opponents such as Edward Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, and LGD Gaming.
