Purchasing RP via Garena could result in account suspension

League of Legends Players in Asia at Risk of Getting Banned for Purchasing RP on Garena Client

If you’re an avid League of Legends player on the Garena client, you might want to reconsider your RP purchases. Recently, a player shared their shocking experience on the League Reddit community, warning others about the potential risks involved.

League of Legends Garena Client

Known as Garena Shells, RP is the in-game currency used on the Garena client. This particular player bought Shells from Garena by purchasing a code on Shopee, Garena’s online shopping platform. However, things took a turn for the worse when Garena banned the player from using the client after 10 months, alleging the code was fraudulent.

The player reached out to Garena’s support team, questioning why they were banned for using Garena’s own code and why it took 10 months for Garena to take action. The support team requested a screenshot of the purchase, the PIN of the Shell card, and a code from the card. Unfortunately, the PIN and code had disappeared, leaving only the screenshot as proof.

According to the player, it took several weeks to go through this process. The support team responded slowly, as depicted in the attached image. After finally providing the proof of purchase, the player’s ticket was closed without any further explanation, leaving them banned from the client.

Players should beware that simply purchasing a skin could potentially result in a ban. Stay cautious!
