G2 Esports Signs Promisq as Substitute Support Player

As the 2019 Summer Split gets underway, G2 Esports, a leading European esports organization, has secured the services of Hampus “Promisq” Mikael Abrahamsson as their substitute support player for their League of Legends roster for the remainder of the year.

This means that Promisq will be a part of G2 Esports for the 2019 LEC Summer Split, Rift Rivals 2019, and Worlds 2019. Although he joined G2 Esports back in March, Promisq only saw limited playtime during the regular season.

Aged 25, Promisq was brought in as a replacement for Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, who was dealing with wrist pain. The pain had worsened during the 2019 Spring Split, prompting G2 Esports to find a temporary replacement and allow Mikyx sufficient time to recover.

As a result, Promisq was given the opportunity to play towards the end of last season, although the team did not have much success in the games he substituted for. However, his presence was crucial for the sake of Mikyx’s well-being.

With Promisq staying on the team, G2 Esports can avoid taking any risks with Mikyx and his wrists. The 20-year-old star support has played a vital role in G2’s victories and should be given ample time to rest if possible. Considering that there are still several international tournaments ahead this year, the team needs to prioritize Mikyx’s wrist health in order to maintain their global dominance.
