Promisq Joins G2 Esports’ League of Legends Team

G2 Esports Adds Promisq to Roster as Support for LEC Spring Split Playoffs

G2 Esports, the current first-place team in the LEC Spring Split, has announced the addition of Hampus Mikael “Promisq” Abrahamsson to their roster. This move comes as a result of an ongoing wrist injury issue with G2’s current support player, Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle.

Mikyx has been experiencing wrist pain since the beginning of the year, and the team has noticed it worsening as the season progresses. Consequently, G2 Esports has reduced Mikyx’s scrim time and eliminated his solo queue obligations entirely.

Promisq will be a part of the G2 Esports roster until May 20, which means he will be there for the LEC playoffs and potentially the Mid-Season Invitational. His role will be to step in whenever Mikyx needs rest during the remainder of the Spring Split, while Mikyx will continue to be the team’s main support player, especially for the playoffs.

In the past, Promisq competed in the LEC in 2018 with H2K Gaming in the EU LCS. However, he has not been a part of many successful teams, with his previous stints being with the 2017 Ninjas in Pyjamas and Paris Saint-Germain, both of which fell short in the playoffs.

Impact of Roster Change on G2 Esports

With G2 Esports making changes to their roster for the final week of the Spring Split, there is a possibility that they might have weakened as a result. For Fnatic and Misfits Gaming, who are both vying for crucial wins against G2 in the last week of the season, this could be a positive development.
