Promising News: TSM’s Newly Acquired Mid Laner for 2023 LCS Summer Split

TSM Finds Replacement for Mid Laner Maple in Ruby

TSM’s League of Legends team has secured a new mid laner for the upcoming 2023 Summer Split. After Maple’s departure, TSM has reportedly reached an agreement with Team Heretics’ mid laner Ruby, as stated in a report by Alejandro Gomis of Blix.gg.

Ruby has faced challenges this season with Heretics, with the team failing to advance to the LEC group stage during the Spring Split. Their performance in the Winter Split also ended quickly.

While TSM hasn’t faced as much struggle as Heretics, they also didn’t achieve notable results in the first half of the season, missing out on the playoff bracket for only the second time in franchise history with an 8-10 record in the spring. Following this underwhelming finish, TSM made changes by parting ways with several players, including Maple, as well as general manager Glen Yang and team manager Kristine Huang. The team still needs to fill the starting top laner position, although Hauntzer will remain as a substitute for 2023.

Ruby will be joining a select few players who have played in both Europe and North America in the same season. It will also be his fourth region, as he has previously played in the PCS and LPL.

Ruby will make his debut with TSM at the start of the LCS Summer Split on June 1.
