Prominent academy player summoned by Dplus KIA to strengthen third position in LCK

Dplus KIA solidifies third place in LCK Summer Split with help from academy player

In a surprising move, Dplus KIA brought in Yoon “Bible” Seol from their academy team to compete against Liiv SANDBOX. Despite his limited experience in the highest competition in South Korea, Bible played well and helped Dplus KIA secure a 2-0 victory.

A solid performance from Dplus KIA

The entire Dplus KIA team performed admirably in their roles, taking early leads and maintaining dominance throughout the game. While Bible’s gameplay wasn’t particularly outstanding, his presence enabled Deft, the AD carry and world champion, to shine in the later stages of the game. Deft even pulled off a remarkable one-versus-four play against Elder Dragon-powered enemies to secure Dplus KIA’s victory in game one.

Another one-sided victory for Dplus KIA

The second game was even more one-sided, with Dplus KIA taking complete control and claiming their seventh victory this split. This win also puts them in sole possession of third place in the 2023 LCK Summer Split, at least for now. Previously, they were tied with Hanwha Life Esports and T1, but T1’s overall game record is worse than Hanwha Life’s.

Playoff hopes still up for grabs

As the 2023 LCK Summer Split reaches its decisive stage, teams are vying for spots in the playoffs. Currently, no team has qualified yet, but Gen.G and KT Rolster are close with 10-0 and 9-1 records, respectively.
