Professional player PraY announces retirement

PraY, Legendary ADC, Announces Retirement from Competitive League of Legends

Kim “PraY” Jong-in, the renowned AD carry player, has officially retired from professional League of Legends after a break from the scene in 2018. PraY shared the news with his fans during a live stream on AfreecaTV, citing a lack of confidence in his abilities as the reason for his retirement. “As I lost confidence, I started suspecting the career of being a pro gamer as a whole,” PraY said, as reported by Inven Global.

A Six-Year Career Filled with Achievements

PraY, formerly the ADC of Kingzone DragonX, had an impressive six-year career in professional League of Legends. He made his debut in 2012 with Najin Black Sword and participated in prestigious tournaments like the 2012 and 2013 World Championships. PraY’s time on Najin earned him his first domestic title in OGN Champions 2013 Winter.

After a brief break, PraY joined the legendary Tigers team in 2014, alongside other stars like Smeb, Hojin, Kuro, and Gorilla. The Tigers gained fame for their fun uniforms, quirky personalities, and exceptional gameplay. During his time with the Tigers, PraY established himself as one of the best ADC players in the world, winning an LCK title and reaching the finals of the 2015 World Championship.

A Legacy of Memorable Plays

PraY’s career is marked by unforgettable moments. One of his most iconic plays was his Ashe arrow against SK Telecom T1 in the semifinals of the 2016 World Championship, which is considered one of the greatest plays in tournament history.

The Final Chapter: Kingzone DragonX

Following the disbandment of the Tigers roster, PraY and Gorilla continued their journey together by joining Longzhu Gaming, later rebranded as Kingzone DragonX. With this organization, they secured two more LCK titles. However, in the 2018 LCK Summer Split, Kingzone experienced a decline in performance and failed to qualify for the World Championship, marking PraY’s final competitive split.

Although PraY has retired, fans can still watch him play League of Legends through his personal AfreecaTV livestream.
