Pro View for League to be terminated by Riot next month

End of an Era: League of Legends Esports Pro View to Shut Down on Feb. 1

League of Legends esports fans have been enjoying the unique insights provided by Pro View, a feature that allows them to delve deep into the gameplay of their favorite players. However, this popular tool will no longer be available starting from Feb. 1, as announced on the official website.

Pro View’s discontinuation is due to the service not gaining enough traction as a stand-alone subscription-based program. Despite the promising interest in player POV feeds, the overall lack of engagement has led Riot to make this decision.

Pro View gave fans the opportunity to watch players in action during their on-stage matches. Viewers could observe cursor movements, camera placements, item and rune setups, enhancing their understanding of professional gameplay. Originally priced at $14.99, Pro View provided access to POV feeds, as well as VODs of all games in the LCS, LEC, and international events.

While certain matches did offer free POV feeds, the premium subscription was required to switch between players and teams. Riot is actively exploring alternate methods to deliver similar content to League fans in the future. However, for now, hardcore enthusiasts will have to bid farewell to Pro View.

Despite the discontinuation of Pro View, the 2022 LEC Spring Split and the 2022 LCS Lock In promise an exhilarating season for fans to look forward to.
