League of Legends World Championship Semifinals: Who Will Advance?
The League of Legends World Championship is reaching its climax as the final four teams compete for a chance to lift the Summoner’s Cup. But which teams are most likely to progress? Let’s take a closer look.
SK Telecom T1 (SKT) vs. ROX Tigers (ROX)
This match-up is a tough call. Both teams had impressive 3-1 victories against LPL teams to secure their place in the semifinals. The LCK will have at least one team in the finals for yet another year. It’s hard to say who will win, but the statistics favor SK Telecom T1. Mental preparation will be key for both sides. If SKT wins, they have a good chance of lifting the Summoner’s Cup.
H2k-Gaming (H2K) vs. Samsung Galaxy (SSG)
As a biased observer, I’m rooting for H2K. It’s remarkable that both H2K and SSG have gone undefeated since week two of the tournament. However, most people will likely favor SSG because they are from the LCK. But with a strong roster and their performance in the quarterfinals, H2K has a real shot at pulling off an upset. They have the advantage of not revealing much about their game plans, so I believe H2K will come out on top.
